Quick safety checklist
- Check the file name and save location before clicking Save
- Make sure you're saving the correct webpage, especially if the page contains personal or private information
- Be careful when sharing saved PDFs — they may contain information that was originally visible only to you
Good to know
- Some webpages don't convert perfectly — layout, ads, or interactive elements (like videos or comment sections) may look different or get cut off in the PDF. If a page looks broken, try More settings in the print dialog and turn on Background graphics for a closer match to the original
- The saved PDF works completely offline afterward — you can open it anytime without internet, using any PDF reader
- If you just want to read the article later without saving a file, most browsers also have a Reading mode or Reading list feature — a lighter option when you don't need a permanent copy
